I had such a wonderful experience with my color analysis! Ellen Kim was my stylist, and she was absolutely amazing. She was so sweet, bubbly, and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. She took the time to explain everything clearly, showed me why certain colors worked best for me, and answered all of my questions with so much patience and enthusiasm. The session was fun, informative, and incredibly helpful. I walked away feeling much more confident about what colors flatter me and how to shop for clothes and makeup. If you’re thinking about getting a personal color analysis, I highly recommend asking for Ellen Kim. She truly made the experience memorable!

Attended the session with my brother and we thoroughly enjoyed the process! Staff were friendly and service was great. Especially our consultant Ellen Kim who made the colour analysis so much fun. Very personable and made us feel very comfortable throughout. Excited to apply everything we've learnt from her!

During my recent trip to Korea, my friends and I booked a Makeup and Facial Features Analysis session with Cocory. As the Yeonhui branch could only accommodate two of us, I visited the Hongdae branch alone. My experience there differed quite a bit from my friends’. At the Yeonhui branch, the session included machine-based skin analysis. However, this was not available at the Hongdae branch. Instead, my analysis was conducted subjectively by Kayla, along with the use of a device to measure skin hydration and skin tone, which required some manual calculation on her end. While this approach still provided insights, it felt noticeably more traditional and less advanced, especially given that the price was the same (KRW 300,000). Kayla then guided me through a facial analysis using slides that explained different eye and face types. She used transparent overlays placed near my face to identify the closest match. The process continued with selecting a makeup look, followed by guidance on application techniques for different facial areas. The session was informative, and Kayla was professional throughout, offering helpful makeup tips and explanations. However, I did have some concerns regarding hygiene. The makeup brushes did not appear well-maintained, and she retrieved them from a drawer that contained both clean and used brushes. She selected the cleaner-looking ones, but I noticed that brushes were double-dipped into makeup palettes, which felt unhygienic. At the end of the session, I was told the analysis file would be sent within 2–3 days, but I only received it after 4 working days. I was also expecting slightly more detailed information in the report, given the turnaround time, but it turned out to be only a one-page summary of my features. Luckily, I was able to take photos of the products used during the session. If you’re planning to book this experience, it may be worth factoring in some delay for the final report. In addition, the privacy and environment of the space could be improved. I could hear the session in the next room word for word throughout my session. The rooms are also exposed at the top rather than fully enclosed, which made the experience feel less private and may become an issue if the studio is busier. Overall, while Kayla was professional, personable, and shared useful tips, the overall experience at the Hongdae branch did not meet my expectations, and I would personally be hesitant to recommend it.

If you’re even thinking about it, just do it! I had my session with Faith, and she was amazing. You can really tell she loves what she does, which made the whole experience even better. I had such a fun time and felt completely comfortable throughout. 10/10 experience! I did the color analysis and highly recommend it.

I had a fun and enjoyable session and experience with the colour analysis! Despite a small hiccup with my appointment, the service recovery was excellent, and Faith from the Yeonhui branch took great care of me. The space itself is spacious and welcoming too. I would definitely recommend Cocory to anyone interested in colour analysis!

Very appreciative of this service. They were very honest and foreigner friendly! Went through so much and even though I don't wear a lot of makeup they showed me what would suit me best even on just daily occurrences. Super lovely!

Came here on my friend’s recommendation to do colour analysis. The analyst is very detailed and gives very good advice on the suitable colour for suits,daily wear and makeup. Highly recommended! I have a better understanding of what colours to wear now.

Just had my color analysis appointment today with Gina and it was so much fun! 10/10 experience. I kind of already knew what colors looked good on me but this experience solidified what I knew and it helped provide me with more color options while emphasizing the tone of the color that looks good on me. On top of helping me out with color options for my clothes, she went over makeup colors, jewelry colors, and hair color! Gina spoke great English and this place is really foreigner friendly. Would totally recommend for a fun experience!

Learnt so much at cocory all thanks to Kayla! Not only knowledgeable, Kayla is also patient and very friendly. She made me felt at ease and enjoyed my time learning about my personal colours and makeup that suits me! Communication wasn’t an issue at all as she speaks perfect English. I also loved the makeup she did for me! It was definitely a 5 star experience :)

They were really accommodating and Bibi, the one who did my color analysis is so nice and friendly! Foreigner-friendly too because our program was in full english :) really helped me find my colors for daily use. def recommended :)
